		<description>In Boston we got five snow days programmed into the school calendar, and whatever we didn&#039;t use got taken off the end of the year.  They&#039;re pretty generous about calling them, though, mostly because there were incidents where little kids were waiting for their school buses, and the bus drivers didn&#039;t see them over the snow banks so didn&#039;t stop for them, and the kids were locked out of home in the cold and in some extreme cases died.  It drives parents nuts because it causes so many child-care issues, and fair enough, but better that, I reckon.</description>
