It's been a while since it's been that cold though. Driving in the snow is a real challenge. I am kind of glad I am not working over the winter months becuase I was being sent to upstate NY 3 days a week towards the end and in some cases I was within a stone throw of Canada. I was worried about driving those areas over winter. Coldest I have seen over here so far was -22F, -25F with wind chill. It’s been a while since it’s been that cold though.

It's really bloody cold and it started pretty early this year too. It's unlikely to finish any time soon, but I hope that it might finish early since it started early! We can only live in hope...life will be easier once we've got a car too - our entertainment options are pretty limited since it's too cold to walk anywhere. Or is it more the lack of modern facilities? I know its a real eye opener when you go out to your car in the morning and the door is frozen shut and you can not open it.
